St. Editha's Church

St Edithas church is the fourth church on the site, and contains stonework from late Saxon times up until the 15th Century. It has a fine collection of coloured and stained glass windows, including pre-Raphaelite work. The tower nearly had a spire, but does have two spiral staircases in the same turret!

Tamworth Castle

Tamworth Castle dates from just after the Norman Conquest, and has evidence of building from most centuries since. As well as holding the history of ruling families (Marmion, Ferrers, Freville...), the castle houses a museum of the town's social and industrial history.
